Individual counseling
An hour of your own, at your pace
For adults carrying a lot: a loss, a doubt, a move, a marriage under strain, or the tiredness of being the one everyone leans on.
Who it helps
Adults who want to think out loud with someone who listens and does not hurry them, whether or not faith is part of their life.
What sessions are like
They run 50 minutes, in person in Colorado Springs or by video. You talk, I listen and ask, and sometimes I suggest something to try.
The method
Talk counseling, with skills from cognitive behavioral therapy when you want them. I explain what I am doing and why, and it changes if it does not suit you.
What this is not
It is not an assessment for a court or an application, not an emergency service and not a place for prescriptions.
Length and frequency
I set the pace with you. I do not promise a number of sessions.
How it is paid
You pay yourself at the end of each session. The fees page covers the receipt, the written estimate and the cancellation notice.
Three questions about this service
Do I need to be religious to see you?
No. Faith is optional here. If it matters to you, we can talk about it; if not, it stays out of the room.
How often, and for how long?
Sessions run 50 minutes. We set the pace together, and I do not promise a number of sessions.
What is confidential, and what are the limits?
What you share stays in the session. The law sets limits, such as serious risk of harm or suspected abuse of a child or an older adult. I explain them in writing before you start.
